Buffet, Family-Style, and Private Events

Typical range: $35 to $45 per person. Small-event minimum: $900 to $1,400, generally covering approximately 15 to 20 guests. The small-event minimum protects Chef Juan’s preparation time, purchasing, labor, travel, and operating costs even when the headcount is low.

Private events such as birthdays, anniversaries, reunions, and showers use the same buffet baseline when buffet or family-style service is selected. Standard setup is included; there is no separate setup or breakdown fee.

Drop-Off Catering

Same $35 to $45 per person baseline as buffet. A flat $40 delivery fee applies. Food is delivered and left with the client; on-site service is not included unless separately booked.

Plated and Private Dinners

Typical range: $55 to $125 per person. Chef Juan’s sweet spot for plated service is generally 30 guests or fewer. Private dinner and dinner-party pricing uses the same per-person range. Servers are quoted separately at $65 per hour with a 5-hour minimum for plated service (a minimum of $325 per server).

Wedding Catering

Typical range: $95 to $140 per person. No separate wedding minimum is required; the per-person range covers the added planning and service demands. Buffet is Chef Juan’s preferred service style for larger weddings; plated works well for smaller headcounts.

Wedding tasting: $75 to $150, credited toward the event balance if the couple books. Servers remain a separate line item when needed.

Corporate Catering

Typical range: $45 to $65 per person. No minimum guest count or minimum order value. Final quote depends on menu, service style, dietary needs, delivery, setup, and event timing.

Health & Wellness Catering

Typical range: $40 to $50 per person. Applies to vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and other specialty-diet menus. Final pricing can vary based on specialty ingredients, substitutions, dietary complexity, and menu design.

Grazing Tables and Food Stations

Classic and enhanced grazing typical range: $35 to $60 per person. Heavy or meal-style grazing may reach approximately $75 per person. Minimum: $750 to $900.

Chef Juan’s grazing concept is customizable and may include chef-prepared foods rather than only cheese and charcuterie. Specialty bowls, elevated display pieces, rentals, décor, or unusually elaborate setups may be priced separately.

Personal Meal Prep

$45–$65 per meal, groceries included. No minimum number of meals. Standard delivery is $40; extended service areas may require an additional delivery charge. Rush orders placed fewer than 5 days in advance are subject to a 20% rush fee, subject to availability. There is no separate 2.5% credit-card processing fee for meal prep; processing costs are included in the meal pricing.

Weekly Scheduling & Payment

Service is scheduled one week at a time with no long-term commitment. Advance payment by the invoice deadline confirms the upcoming service week. Clients may skip a week by notifying Chef Juan’s before payment is due. Unexpected changes after payment may be handled as a future service credit, less any nonrecoverable food or preparation costs already incurred.

Menus are customized to the client’s preferences and may include poultry, fish, beef, pork, starches, vegetables, vegan and vegetarian options, gluten-free, dairy-free, keto, allergy-aware, macro-oriented, and kid-friendly meals. See weekly meal prep →

Holiday Catering

Full holiday catering: $45 to $65 per person. Holiday side dishes: $50 per half pan, $95 per full pan. No minimum order for holiday sides; a client may order a single half pan. Thanksgiving and Christmas meat pricing and full meat packages are being finalized. No weekend, holiday-weekend, or peak-date surcharge applies beyond the menu and service pricing.

  • Standard setup and breakdown is not separately charged.

Custom and Pass-Through Charges

  • China, upgraded flatware and glassware, linens, specialty display pieces, décor, and rentals: custom pricing.
  • Travel outside the Atlanta and North Georgia service area: custom charge.

Payment, Booking, and Quote Rules

Event deposit, final-balance, and cancellation terms below apply to catering and event bookings. Weekly meal prep follows the weekly scheduling and payment terms in the Personal Meal Prep section above.

  • Deposit: 45% of the estimated total to reserve the date.
  • Final balance: Remaining 55% due two weeks before the event date.
  • Sales tax: Added separately to the quoted price.
  • Credit card fee: 2.5% processing fee for services other than personal meal prep. Meal-prep customers pay no additional credit-card processing fee; processing costs are included in the meal pricing.
  • Fee-free payment methods: Zelle and check.
  • Quote validity: Written quotes remain valid for 30 days; after that, pricing may be updated based on current food, labor, and operating costs.
  • Rush fee: 20% of the applicable subtotal for catering events or personal meal prep booked fewer than 5 days in advance, subject to availability.

Institutional accounts. Government, university, corporate procurement, and other approved institutional accounts may be subject to their organization’s established purchasing, invoicing, and payment procedures. Payment terms for these accounts will be confirmed before services are finalized.

Cancellation and Rescheduling

  • Deposits are refundable prior to the 2-week balance deadline.
  • Within the 2 weeks before the event: no refunds; the client receives a credit toward a rescheduled event or other Chef Juan’s® services, consistent with the signed contract.
  • The signed proposal or contract controls if any website language and transaction-specific terms differ.

Guest Count Rules

  • Final count deadline: Two weeks before the event, aligned with the final balance deadline.
  • Decreases after the deadline: Price is locked; reducing the guest count does not reduce the contracted amount.
  • Buffet and family-style increases after the deadline: Up to 9 additional guests may be accommodated without an additional charge, subject to food and service availability. Increases of 10 guests or more carry additional charges.
  • Plated increases after the deadline: Any increase is charged additionally, because each plated meal must be planned individually.
  • Children: No separate child rate; the regular per-person rate applies.
  • Vendor meals: Photographers, DJs, planners, and other vendors are charged the regular per-person rate.

Consulting

Custom quote. Chef Juan prefers a flat-fee or project structure when practical, with the scope tailored to the client. Common scopes include restaurant and food-service operations, startup guidance, menu development, catering systems, staff training, product development, operational reviews and turnarounds, branding and trademark resource coordination, co-packing and product-resource connections when appropriate, and digital marketing support through Released Solutions. See consulting services →

Farm-to-Table

Seasonal and custom. Farm-to-table menus are priced against what is actually in production and available from the Chef Juan’s® family farm at the time of the event. We do not promise farm-grown ingredients on every event.

Common Questions

Do you publish menu prices online?

The ranges above are the honest starting picture. Every event menu is custom, so a fixed menu price would lock us out of the flexibility that makes each event work. Your final proposal is built from the actual scope of your event.

Is the deposit refundable?

Yes, prior to the 2-week balance deadline. Within 2 weeks of the event, there are no refunds; the deposit converts to a credit toward a rescheduled event or other Chef Juan’s® services, consistent with the signed contract.

Do you add gratuity or a service charge?

No. Gratuity is at your discretion, and there is no automatic service charge on the quote.

Do you charge for tastings?

For weddings and larger events, yes, $75 to $150 depending on the number of tasters. If you book the event, the fee credits toward your final balance.

Do you supply alcohol?

No. Clients supply the alcohol. If you want a bartender, we can quote that separately.

Are these prices guaranteed?

The ranges are typical for 2026. Written quotes are valid for 30 days; after that, pricing may be updated based on current food, labor, and operating costs.
