Chef Juan's®

Wedding Catering, Georgia, South Carolina & North Carolina

Buffet, plated, or family-style. Menu built for your day. Up to about 300 guests.

—

Chef Juan’s® wedding catering has served everything from intimate ceremonies to a 300-guest wedding in Charleston, South Carolina. Buffet is the format Chef Juan reaches for on weddings above about 75 guests, it gives us the tightest control over portion size, food quality, and hot-line temperature. Plated works beautifully for smaller weddings and receptions where the room supports course-by-course service. Family-style sits in between. Whichever service style fits your day, the menu itself is custom. Chef Juan does not lead with a fixed signature dish, the entire point of the service is that every couple gets a menu built for their guests, their dietary needs, and the flavors that mean something to their families. Tastings are $75-$150 depending on the number of people, and if you book, the tasting fee credits toward your balance.

Service Styles

Buffet

Preferred for weddings above about 75 guests. Every station monitored and refilled through service. This is Chef Juan’s most experienced format for weddings.

Plated

Best for weddings up to about 30 guests. Servers deliver each course to your guests at their tables.

Family-Style

Platters brought to the table, guests serve themselves and each other. Warmer than buffet, less formal than plated. Great for mid-size receptions.

Frequently Asked Questions

How large a wedding will Chef Juan cater?

Any size. The largest wedding we’ve personally served was close to 300 guests in Charleston. With the right facility, larger is workable.

Do you offer tastings before we book?

Yes, $75 to $150 depending on the number of people. If you book, the tasting fee credits toward your balance.

What are Chef Juan’s signature wedding dishes?

There is no fixed signature, every wedding menu is built for the couple. That’s the whole point of the service.

What’s the biggest mistake couples make when picking a caterer?

Focusing too much on the buffet display or the price point instead of the food itself. Chef Juan’s advice: taste the food, then decide.

Do you provide servers, bartending, and referrals?

Yes, servers and bartending can be added, and we refer photographers, videographers, and wedding-cake makers as needed. —
